Raiders Vs. Vikings

Game Summary

The opening kickoff was returned by Jesse Lajes to the 35 yard line. The Vikings drove down the field but were stopped by the Raiders who forced a turnover. The Raiders first drive started on their own 34 yard line. The Raiders were stopped after 3 downs and the punt by #3 Jake Berry was returned 25 yards by #5 Jesse Lajes for a touchdown. The extra point was no good and the score after the drive was Vikings 6 Raiders 0. The opposing kickoff is kicked into the end zone for a touch back. The next Raiders drive resulted in an interception thrown by #3 Jacob Berry. Vikings ball on the Raiders 38 yard line. #4 Flores of the Viking runs for a 30 yard touchdown and the extra point is good. Vikings 14 raiders 0. On the kickoff the ball is returned 15 yards by #11 Amir Wesley. The Raiders started their drive on their own 20 yard line. 

The 2nd Quarter opened with the Raiders on the 33 yard line driving down the field. The Raiders were forced to punt. A fantastic punt for 50 yards goes out of bounds at the Vikings own 14 yard line. Vikings #5 Jesse Lajes pushed forward with a 60 yard run into Raiders territory. The Raiders defense stopped the Vikings on fourth down and the Raiders took over on their own 10 yard line. Raiders QB #3 Jacob berry threw his second interception of the day and the Vikings take over on the Raiders 20 yard line. Vikings #5 Jesse Lajes maneuvered his way through the field with a 20 yard run for the touchdown and the extra point was good bringing the score to Vikings 22,  Raiders 0. The opposing kick off is returned by Raiders #20 Tyler Stack for 15 yards. The Raiders drive starts at their own 35 yard line. Raiders #3 Jacob berry with his 3rd interception of the day and the Vikings take over on their own 29 yard line. After driving down the field, the Vikings #5 Jesse Lajes scored with a 5 yard touchdown run and the extra point is no good. The next Raiders drive resulted in a turnover on downs and the Vikings take over on the Raiders 36 yard line. At halftime the score is the Vikings 28 and the Raiders 0. 

The Raiders start the 3rd quarter at their own 30 yard line. Raiders #22 Matthew Cannataro kicked off the series with a 30 yard run but is tripped up at the 5 yard line. Matthew cannataro scored the touchdown and the extra point is no good. Vikings 28 raiders 6. Raiders kick it inside and the Vikings recover at about the 30 yard line and the Vikings start their drive. The Vikings turn over on downs but on the next Raiders drive #22 Matthew cannataro throws an interception to the Vikings #5 Jesse lajes and it is returned to the Raiders 25 yard line. On the Viking’s next drive a 20 yard run by #4 Flores. 

At the start of the 4th quarter, the Vikings scored off a pass by #2 Botelho to #4 Flores of the Vikings. The extra point is good.
Vikings 36 Raiders 6. Defense ruled the rest of the game with the Raiders drive starting at their own 30 yard line. Raiders turnover on downs Vikings ball on the raiders 30 yard line. Vikings turn over on downs and the Raiders take over on their own 25 yard line. 

The final score is the the Vikings 36 and the raiders 6.

This is Mathew’s first year playing Football and he excelled this week carrying the ball.  Mathew is a great example of a coachable player who gives you 100% in practice and during the game.
